Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has plunked down $7.2 million for a beach house in Dana Point, California, according to Sotheby’s International Realty.

Part of the gated, waterfront community near famed Monarch Beach—about 60 miles south of Los Angeles in Orange County—the residence is a “light and breezy single-level home … reminiscent of California’s mid-century architecture,” according to the listing with Phil Immel of Pacific Sotheby’’s International Realty.

“Monarch Beach is known worldwide as the resort area of Dana Point and is renowned for its numerous amenities, including pristine beaches, fine dining, golf, tennis, hiking and the Dana Point Harbor,” the listing said. The community is called the Monarch Bay Private Beach Club.

Allen, 27, is a native of the Golden State and may very well have been in need of an escape pad to avoid the harsh Buffalo winter. Originally listed in early May for $7.5 million, the home went into contract about a month later and closed on July 5, property records show.

Since joining the Bills in 2018, Allen has helped the team reach the playoffs four times, winning three consecutive division titles. Representatives for the player did not immediately return a request for comment.

The community is home to two other NFL quarterbacks, according to Sotheby’s. That includes Sam Darnold, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, and Mark Sanchez, who retired in 2018 after a 10-year career that started with five seasons with the New York Jets and ended with a year playing for the team now known as the Washington Commanders. Professional golfer Cameron Tringale also has a house in the beach club.

Allen’s new 2,808-square-foot abode sits behind a privacy gate, and has floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. A planted entry courtyard leads to the foyer, and there’s a living room with a fireplace—and room for a grand piano—that leads to the backyard. A formal dining room and a stainless steel kitchen complete the level.

There are four bedrooms, including a primary suite with a sitting area, as well as a windowed office nook. The backyard currently has a hot tub and terrace, but there’s room to add a pool, according to the listing.
