Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the lost 3.13% to hit a new 3-months low, while the index declined 3.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Carrefour SA (EPA:), which fell 0.44% or 0.08 points to trade at 16.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:) fell 0.94% or 0.27 points to end at 28.52 and Orange SA (EPA:) was down 1.06% or 0.11 points to 10.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:), which fell 5.55% or 2.78 points to trade at 47.34 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) declined 5.12% or 2.33 points to end at 43.05 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:) was down 4.79% or 92.60 points to 1,840.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which rose 1.44% to 3.11, Spie SA (EPA:) which was down 0.28% to settle at 28.74 and Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which lost 0.29% to close at 20.64.
The worst performers were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) which was down 5.55% to 47.34 in late trade, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) which lost 5.12% to settle at 43.05 and Gecina SA (EPA:) which was down 4.89% to 94.35 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 393 to 140 and 76 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.60% or 11.55 to $1,915.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $71.53 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.40 to trade at $76.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.93.
