The U.K.’s financial regulator has confirmed it is investigating Crispin Odey and his eponymous hedge fund group to decide whether he is a “fit and proper person” to work in financial services.
In a letter to Parliament’s Treasury select committee, dated Monday, the Financial Conduct Authority’s chief executive Nikhil Rathi said it is “appropriate for me to confirm to the Committee that the FCA has ongoing investigations into both Mr Crispin Odey and Odey Asset Management LLP.”
