Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.18%, while the index fell 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Worldline SA (EPA:), which rose 3.55% or 1.19 points to trade at 34.69 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) added 1.81% or 0.95 points to end at 53.50 and Stellantis NV (EPA:) was up 1.27% or 0.20 points to 16.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:), which fell 3.00% or 1.84 points to trade at 59.50 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) declined 1.96% or 3.26 points to end at 163.20 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:) was down 1.66% or 33.00 points to 1,957.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (EPA:) which rose 5.58% to 0.73, Aperam SA (AS:) which was up 3.64% to settle at 29.62 and Worldline SA (EPA:) which gained 3.55% to close at 34.69.
The worst performers were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which was down 3.34% to 3.93 in late trade, Edenred SA (EPA:) which lost 3.00% to settle at 59.50 and Biomerieux SA (EPA:) which was down 2.64% to 93.58 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 273 to 250 and 97 ended unchanged.
Shares in Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 3.34% or 0.14 to 3.93.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.03% or 0.60 to $1,930.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.42% or 0.30 to hit $70.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.32% or 0.24 to trade at $75.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.61.
