Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.22%, while the index gained 1.19%, and the index climbed 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.72% or 14.30 points to trade at 317.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 3.91% or 1.00 points to end at 26.60 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was up 2.66% or 4.70 points to 181.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:), which fell 3.25% or 1.03 points to trade at 30.66 at the close. Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) declined 2.30% or 1.70 points to end at 72.35 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:) was down 1.90% or 1.38 points to 71.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 16.99% to 21.72, Puma SE (ETR:) which was up 9.97% to settle at 52.30 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which gained 6.51% to close at 123.50.
The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 2.19% to 29.44 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.07% to settle at 20.39 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.65% to 22.60 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.72% to 317.00, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.14% to settle at 11.20 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 3.92% to close at 87.55.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 3.31% to 12.57 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 2.24% to settle at 38.89 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 2.19% to 29.44 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 397 to 250 and 101 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adidas AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.66% or 4.70 to 181.38. Shares in United Internet AG NA (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.31% or 0.43 to 12.57.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.51% to 14.74.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.11% or 21.55 to $1,923.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 4.48% or 3.25 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 4.16% or 3.21 to trade at $73.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 102.06.
