South Korea’s exports fell for an eighth straight month in May on weak global demand for memory chips and other Korean goods.
Exports declined 15.2% from a year earlier to $52.24 billion, following a revised 14.3% drop in April, according to preliminary data released by the country’s trade ministry on Thursday. The median market forecast was for a 16.9% fall.
