Destiny Pharma said Thursday that Chief Executive Officer Neil Clark has stepped now with immediate effect to pursue new challenges, and named nonexecutive director Debra Barker as interim CEO.
The London-listed pharmaceutical company, which focuses on novel anti-infective treatments, said that Clark has also stepped down from the board with immediate effect, though he will continue to support the business for a limited period to ensure an orderly handover.
Barker has experience as a senior executive and board director in life science companies including the anti-infectives sector, having held key roles at Novartis and Polyphor, Destiny said.
