The chairman of Cannae Holdings has been appointed chief executive officer, while the erstwhile CEO has been named vice chairman of the board.

The diversified holding company said Monday morning that William Foley II will continue to serve as chairman of the board as he assumes the role of CEO.

Richard Massey, who is still listed as CEO on Cannae’s website, will now serve as vice chairman of the board, the company said.

“I am very excited to assume the role of chief executive officer and continue working with Rick Massey and our portfolio management team while sourcing new private investments that offer outsized, risk-adjusted returns,” Foley said in a statement.
