In a move that aligns with its strategy to expand its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) portfolio and contribute to the sustainability megatrend, Henkel, a global adhesive technologies leader, has acquired Critica Infrastructure. The American company is known for its composite solutions for critical infrastructures such as oil and gas transmission and water supply systems.

Critica Infrastructure, which operates eight production sites predominantly in the US, is projected to generate sales of approximately 100 million euros in 2023. The company employs around 250 personnel and supplies products to approximately 3,000 customers under brands like CSNRI, Advanced Valve Technologies, Fyfe FRP, and GeoTree Solutions.

Henkel’s CEO Carsten Knobel views this acquisition as a significant step towards enhancing their MRO portfolio and stimulating further growth. Executive VP for Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business, Mark Dorn, sees the acquisition as a strategic fit that contributes to sustainability while enabling a growth platform for their MRO business.

Founded in 1876, Henkel reported sales of over 22 billion euros in fiscal 2022. The company employs around 50,000 people worldwide and its top brands include Loctite, Persil, and Schwarzkopf.
